Flying Cars A Reality!

If you remember the 80’s you will probably remember KIT, the intelligent computer installed in to the seemingly impenetrable car that was driven by Michael Knight (AKA  The Hoff). Of course the series was Knight Rider. Kit had a 50GB memory, which is a pittance these days but he was a fairly advanced AI and had an opinion on most things. Google and Amazon aren’t quite there, yet!

The point is that Knight Rider was pure fantasy and if you had suggested that we could achieve anything like it, you would have been carted of by the chaps in white coats.

Roll on 2020 and driver-less cars are with us,  Google and Sir integration are the norm, and the ability to set your lights or heating on whilst still driving home is no longer anything special. The fact is that technology is moving at a deliciously interesting pace and if we once again dip our toes in to the realms of impossibility, just as we were all getting used to the idea of driver-less cars, now we can begin to think about flying cars. Wait just a minute, flying cars?

Yes indeed. The idea is not new and Airbus has been working on the concept for some time. An inserting development from AeroMobil in Slovakia sees two new flying cars presented for all to look at on their website. One model is personal car and the other appears to be marketed towards a more commercial market, such as taxis and other service based companies. You can even pre-order one directly from the AeroMobil website if you want to be one of the first to have a flying car.

So like it or not it is a FACT that flying cars are on the way. One thing that is not clear at all, is what type of license you will need to operate them? Surely a pilots licence?
